By Luis Baez Gift Shop is one of the first three at the entrance to Sosua Beach, packed like a 7-eleven for beachgoers: flip flops, Panama hats, ladies wide brim hats, beach balls, beach wraps, trunks, shirts, eyeshades, crocks, wooden figures, DR-themed decorative plates and other items such as African masks.
Their jewelry section has a very good selection of rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces made of amber, blue pectolite ( Larimar ), seashells, ox horn and other native materials. Oil paintings are basically tropical beach themed, from local Dominican artists, and also some Haitian art.
Handmade mortars and vases with ornate carved designs sit next to African masks, painted plates and other handcrafts built of the hardest woods found in the island. The store is right next to the Casita Azul bar, easy to spot when entering the beach via the Batey side.
