Sosua Beach Club Fresita`s is a restaurant bar, offering a high level of service to local and international visitors. Their menu consists of international and local dishes including North American treats, filet, steak, American breakfast, seafood, pasta, chicken dishes, Soups, and burgers; Also a Dominican local selection including sancocho, mofongo, cocido, tripe stew and rice dishes favored by almost all locals.

The location is easy to find, about 30 meters away from the parking lot in El Batey, and visitors can reserve a parking area by calling the restaurant ahead of time, also reserve tables ( there are 5 ). This restaurant includes its own bathroom, and it is decorated with Taino and African cultural motifs. Best in the menu is the red snapper and grouper ( steamed with veggies ), the Tempura shrimp  and grilled lobster.

This Beach Club is a great spot for families visiting Sosua, and offers services such as birthday parties, small intimate beach weddings, catering service and is linked to many villa rentals in Sosua, allowing rental customers access to the beach club facilities and discounts when booking loungers, using the bathroom and reserving services.

This is what we`d like to call the starters bar, to grab the first strawberry daiquiri, mojito, margarita or a boosted caipirinha. When meeting friends at the beach before choosing a spot, nothing beats casita as it is impossible to miss when coming in from the Batey entrance of Sosua.

The fruit is fresh, and if you order a pina colada they do it in the pineapple. Seeing the tables outside makes you wonder if they`d have a kitchen in such a small area, right? well, you can order food from them, as they use the menu from Bandera Dominicana.

There`s more, as the liqueur section pretty much includes the top known ones such as Baileys, Grand Marnier, Kahlua, Barcelo Cream ( DR version of Baileys), Frangelico, Veterano, Sambuca, Amaretto, Créme de Menthe, Anis, Grappa, and Mamajuana ( a DR drink based on rum, honey, wine and roots ).

For those who enjoy Gin-based drinks: Gordon`s, Tanqueray, Beefeater, Bombay Sapphire. When all the routes lead to Mexico: Agavita, Jose Cuervo, and Patron tequila. For vokda they offer Ciroc, Grey Goose, Absolut, Smirnoff, and Eristoff. The whisky menu has J&B, Canadian Club, Dewars, Chivas (12 & 18 ), Jack Daniels ( 3 varieties ), Johnny Walker red, black, Dblack, Crown Royal, Jim Beam, and Buchanan.

We asked Cathy to fix a quick drink for us on camera, and she offered a B52, an aperitif based on Kahlua, Baileys and Grand Marnier.

The bar also offers a rum selection that includes Brugal, Barcelo, Columbus and Macorix in all its varieties. Presidente beer, Bohemia, Corona, Stella Artois, Coors light and Heineken are the top choices in the beer list.  Foreign rum includes Barbancourt, Havana Club, and Bacardi.

A few steps up there`s Remy Martin, Hennessy ( VSOP, White, Standard ). And the wine selection has chilean and Italian, per glass. The restaurant side has a menu with soups, pasta, breakfast and crepes, see the listing in the restaurants section.

Tony`s bar is a cool hangout in Sosua Beach
